Got a little help over the school holidays. Having grown up going to ‘the factory’ I remember how much fun it was to help out and see where my parents worked. By helping out it was mainly exploring, poking around, making things out of scraps and off-cuts and drawing. Nice to see some things are still the same next generation on!

Often we can get stuck in a rut or stumped when trying to create something new. The process of creativity can seem like a lightning strike, or a fluke and we can be unsure if it's likely to happen again, especially when we need it most.

What I've found is that the process is more methodical than we think. From an inspired initial frenzy where the ideas flow, to self doubt and wanting to start from scratch, sometimes despair and procrastination. If you keep going, something happens and you get an idea when you least expect it which takes you through to the finished product.

The thing that is the constant is working through the process, showing up and staying the course. The magic is happening!
